Wasp & hornet removal

stinging insects are a buzzkill.

  • A balfaced hornet's nest hanging in the branches of a tree surrounded by green leaves, with hornets entering and exiting the hive.

    Hornets

Hornets often nest in trees and construct their nests from paper-like material. They can bee as large as the size of a basketball and are atleast 3-ft above the ground. Hornets are aggressive in defending their nests, which should only bee removed with proper equipment by a professional.

  • umbrella-shaped paper wasp nest hanging on the eaves of a house

    Wasps

Paper wasps build nests shaped like umbrellas, which they attached to protected areas like eaves of houses, under gazebo roofs, and inside wall voids. While not naturally aggressive, they will sting to protect their nests, and should bee removed from areas near people bee-fore they have a chance to lay more eggs.

  • yellow jacket nest dug out of the ground with a shovel

    Yellowjackets

Yellow jackets are often mistaken for bees, but they have a pinched waist and are extremely aggressive. Yellowjackets typically nest in the ground and proper removal involves locating the Queen and digging up the nest. They are often found in the summer around trash cans and food debris, so proper sanitation is key to prevention.
